Chocolate Box 2017
Thanks for checking out this letter! I've got a bunch of ideas here, but don't feel bound to them. Use them as inspiration, mix and match between prompts, or do your own thing that works best for you. I honestly enjoy so many things in fanworks.
There are some things I'd prefer avoided, though. Please do not include:
- in art: one person completely clothed while the other is completely naked. Characters looking at the fourth wall.
- in writing: A great deal of darkness throughout the story, though moments thereof is fine; darkness with humour is also good. Unhappy endings.
- overall: anything extremely violent, as it is actively occurring (aftermath is fine). Soul bonds, with things like sharing thoughts or pain, or sensing each other all the time. (A soulmate AU that has basically "we're meant for each other, this sign says so" is fine.) Fisting. Rape/noncon. Extremely underage sex - age 16 and up is fine. Steampunk. Non-canon death. Infidelity; for those ships where the characters are married or later get married, I'm fine with open relationships, amicable ends to the non-canon romance, or the marriage just not happening in the fanwork. Zombie apocalypse.

Bleach

- AU it up if you want
Ulquiorra/Orihime - Reincarnation. Spirited Away fusion. Anything with fairy tale/myth elements. Canon divergence where Ulquiorra lives. Xeno. Travelling to other realms. The wistful, never-possible nature of their relationship in canon was great but that means my fic desires are for, at least, moments where things between them are more concrete. Still doesn't need to be a conventionally happy ending but just a little more. Ulquiorra having the romantic feelings while Orihime is just about getting comfortable with him as an ally/friend is fine too.
Crossovers
- fic
- I'd prefer the type of crossover where both canon universes exist intact if they're very different, or co-exist if that is fairly easy to handwave, without changing canon backgrounds too much. Preferably no fusions of the kind where e.g. Kirk is a superhero in the MCU and has never been part of anything like the Star Trek canon.
Thor (Marvel) & James T. Kirk (Star Trek 2009) - I love that scenario where Thor is George Kirk, because of the Chris Hemsworth and general heroics connection. Preferably having had his memory screwed with, and only regaining knowledge of his life as Thor after he dies as George. Maybe he has to fight his way out of the Underworld before he can get back to his families? But whatever background there is to it, I'd love an estranged and very strange father-son connection to be explored. Maybe Jim inherited super powers, or maybe there's talk of needing a new Asgardian heir, or some assassination plot for the bastard child, or they just want to bond.
Leonard McCoy (Star Trek AOS)/Haymitch Abernathy (Hunger Games) - I just want them to be bitter and cutting and baseline good-hearted together. Prompts: Grumpy, drunken, awkward hurt/comfort. McCoy tries to help with the revolution. Haymitch somehow gets transported into the Star Trek universe and feels immense guilt for not somehow getting the people he knows there too, where it's so much more peaceful and hopeful. Maybe he tries to join Starfleet Academy but drops out? Field medicine with inadequate supplies.
James Norrington (Pirates of the Caribbean)/Elizabeth Bennet (Pride & Prejudice) - they could offer each other a lot; spirit and adventure as well as affection and support, enough respectability (depending on the timeline for Norrington) but enough freedom too. Preferably the relationship would not be based on the Kiera Knightley connection regarding P&P 2005. Prompts: Norrington is down on his luck and ends up in business with Wickham, but wants to put a stop to that, the more so as the Bennets get involved. Courtship, with tons of teasing. Norrington being the hot new thing in the area instead of Bingley, and the story unfolding differently from there (although some of that classic pining and repression would be great). Elizabeth (and all the other Bennets?) goes to the Caribbean for whatever reason, and Norrington finds himself attracted. Anything with supernatural elements they have to fight/appease/find, especially mermaids, or something else entirely that POTC canon hasn't got around to yet.
Haruno Sakura (Naruto)/Spike (BtVS) - saw this in the tag set and was like, haha what, that's weird but great, and then suddenly it felt like it made perfect sense. Possibly it's the nostalgia for both fandoms talking - but also Sakura can be into a bad boy, and Spike into an occasionally vicious heroic type who can toss him around... Prompts: Spike in the Narutoverse, going "what the hell" the whole time (but maybe also with some kind of abilities from the composition of the sunlight/a magic amulet/whatever, so he's not totally outclassed), and Sakura appreciating someone with a chiller perspective than a lot of people she knows. Overcoming a language barrier. Sakura the Vampire Slayer. Sakura the vampire, newly turned and meeting Spike or turned by Spike (and if this particular prompt involves any other non-canon character deaths, that's fine).
Chato Santana (Suicide Squad 2016)/Bobby Drake (Marvel 616) - Bonding about how their powers can be so destructive, and the guilt about the innocent lives they've taken. Chato gets fixated on the idea of Iceman as a fated opposite to his own powers (please not to the level of like, trapping Bobby somewhere with no escape, but if you want to go for creepiness of a lesser degree that is still good). The X-Men picking up on the disturbance of this rando entering the universe and helpfully trying to figure out a way to get him back, especially as he insists on wanting to go back to his family ... but somehow Bobby finds out how tenuous and desperate the definition of "family" is in this case and wants to offer an argument against it. Playing with their powers in cool ways. 616 gods getting antsy about whatever godly being Chato is/represents/has a part of, and Chato getting some superhero help to deal with it that includes Bobby.
Digimon Adventure 02

- I use the dub named for convenience and as it's how I watched Digimon, but using the original names is absolutely fine.
Cody & Joe - mentor-mentee between these old young souls, please, for any situation - an educational issue, how to help friends, romance, what to do in a battle situation. Something with the both of them just relaxing, maybe going to the beach, or having a Digiworld picnic. Ageswap with older Cody and younger Joe, or both of them being the same age and getting to know each other as kids. Anything with them hanging out with their digimon, or even other digimon. Worldbuilding as they navigate life as depicted in the epilogue - and I always wonder what being a lawyer would be like for Cody. That trope of a future version of a character experiencing the apocalypse and finding some way for their consciousness to travel back in time to try and prevent the bad outcome; and then whoever travels back confides in the other. Grim old Cody staring out of a baby face would be great. (Just a scene is ace, I'm not asking for an epic retelling of canon.)
Davis/Tai - Hero worship and dudely jock boyfriends. One-sided crushing is also good, but I would like at least a hint of something mutual in fic. Prompts: Space AU with hotshot pilots. Established relationship dating. PWP. One really missing the other during some kind of separation. Fighting together. Anything with them hanging out with their digimon, or even other digimon. Worldbuilding as they navigate life as depicted in the epilogue, especially Tai as a diplomat, although I'd love to see Davis enjoy the hell out of his noodle cart and coming up with wild flavours. That trope of a future version of a character experiencing the apocalypse and finding some way for their consciousness to travel back in time to try and prevent the bad outcome; and then whoever travels back confides in the other. I'd love grim old Tai feeling guilty for what he dumps on Davis, but it's necessary for whatever reason. (Just a scene is ace, I'm not asking for an epic retelling of canon.)
Discworld

- AU it up if you want. Noir or sci-fi could be nice.
Nanny & Granny
Nanny/Granny
Anything about this cantankerous best friendship! More taking down opponents together, backstory, discussing witchcraft and how best to do it, Magrat or Agnes learning how to turn them more towards bickering with each other and letting her get on with her own things, as much h/c as Granny would allow Nanny to give her once Lily runs off. Shipwise, Nanny seducing Granny in their youth that one time they never talk about would be so great. Or making offers over the years, even as they're all rebuffed. Art-specific, I'd love a scene of them relaxing together, especially Nanny laughing unrestrained and Granny smiling. Or Granny roped into getting an iconograph taken with Nanny for an author's picture for the cookbook.
Ridcully/Granny - any scene(s) from that alternate universe where they were married, as comes up in Lords and Ladies. Practicing each other's types of magic (maybe because of a challenge from each other or someone else?). Taking a more Equal Rites view of their relationship, and them staying in touch via letters while Ridcully keeps fighting off the image of Granny in red and black silk. Their interaction when young. Art-specific: anything that subverts a romantic trope - maybe even a typical romance novel pose starring other people entirely, as they look on with vague amusement and disapproval, leaning against each other slightly? It doesn't have to be that specific. Any depiction of the duel in Equal Rites.
Tiffany & Granny - Art featuring You would be much appreciated, or I would also eat up your classic mentor-mentee pose with Granny putting a hand on Tiffany's shoulder. Or giving Tiffany the hat full of sky. For fic especially: anything with Tiffany learning from Granny. Both of them challenging each other, even something like Tiffany doing her level best to keep up in a game of Cripple Mr Onion. Making a more familial bond (reference to Granny Aching would also be nice). Granny talking about Tiffany to someone else (recommending her as a student, perhaps). Inception AU.
Tonker/Lofty - most of all, I want them happy. Intense and codependent and slightly unhinged too, but happy. Prompts: What with the fire associations with Lofty, I'd love art with lots of red to it. Western AU where they're cowboys. Enjoying the fruits of a successful robbery. Moving away from the criminal lifestyle to something more settled. Meeting some of their fellow Cheesemongers again and helping them out somehow (I'm especially fond of Igorina and Mal). Holding hands in a desperate clutch. Travelling to somewhere else - do they find some patriotism or just revel in getting far away from Borogravia? Meeting some other Discworld characters (maybe even Death! But in which case, I'd like it to be a fakeout).
Tiffany/Annagramma - I'd love a Didn't Realise They Were Dating story; Tiffany probably would realise what with all those recursive thoughts she has, but Annagramma might take time to admit it to herself. AU where they go to know each other when they were younger, and navigating how they later manage Annagramma wanting to put on the act about her background. Looking back on how they were as kids when they're older - or even some more time travel where their older selves meet their younger selves. Doing magic together. Art-specific, I'd love something where it's them mutually looking snarky at each other, or perhaps Tiffany is reading and Annagramma has just come to the blushing realisation that she really enjoys Tiffany's company even in this boring way.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood & Manga

- AU it up if you want. Especially futuristic ones, or "X Lived".
Al & Van Hohenheim - I just want to see anything where they have more of a connection. Prompts: Al reacting to the full family portrait photo taken when he was a baby, with Hohenheim weeping. Time travel and meeting young Hohenheim (and maybe Homunculus). Art-specific, I'd love to see them take a walk together (especially in Risembool), whether Al is in his own body or in the armour.
Ed/Ling Yao - Fusion with the Danger Days: True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys album. Travelling together for fun or profit, rather than trying to save their countries. Space AU. Ed is a homunculus along the lines of Greed's old crew. More from their days on the run together - can be hints of some romantic feelings, since Ed can be obtuse about that kind of thing and Ling is well aware it couldn't go anywhere much in the future. But I'm never going to say no to tent sex and ribbing from Darius and Heinkel. Arranged marriage, by whatever contrivance makes an iota of sense.
King Bradley/Mrs Bradley - I find this ship so strange and sweet and horrifying for what lurks under the surface. Prompts: AU where it comes out early that Bradley is Wrath. Why Wrath chose her (was that choice ever an issue with his "other family"?), how they met, what dating was like. What Mrs Bradley tells nuPride about his "father". Things that Mrs Bradley thought was normal in a man but are actually weird for a human being. For art I'd really like fluffy, unambiguous mutual affection. Having tea together, playing footsie under the table, anything.
Lan Fan & Ling
Lan Fan/Ling
How did that mutual loyalty grow and stay, especially when Ling makes choices that makes Lan Fan bug out so often, and generally comes across as far less traditional than she is? Prompts: different masks they've worn. How things change once Ling is emperor. Growing up together. Enjoying a meal. Learning how to use new weapons. PWP. Costume porn. One playing with the other's hair. Ling helping Lan Fan out with some automail maintenance. Fusions based on metal arms - Lan Fan is now in a Winter Soldier position and Ling is in a Steve or Natasha position, or perhaps she's like Shiro from Voltron: Legendary Defender and Ling is in a role like Allura's or Keith's.
May & Ling - The way Ling carts May off at the end makes me think that he's ready to start treating her as an ally and quite possibly a sister, and May takes to it easily enough that I like to believe she's at least open to negotiations. Really, I just want anything where they work their way through that; the baggage of the past, the needs of the future, and the effects of their time in Amestris providing some common ground. In art especially, I'd like something where they just manage to be happy together, or working together - some cloak-and-dagger teamwork would be ace.
May & Scar - I'd love them maintaining a connection, meeting unexpectedly in later years, or anything that gives just a bit more closure after how long they stayed together. Maybe they meet as Ishbal starts welcoming foreign investment or opening trade routes, maybe just more of a goodbye in the ending part of the manga. Art-specific, I'd be very happy with a scene from their time together in Amestris, maybe setting up a camp.
May/Lan Fan - With aged-up May, please. Prompts: they insist they don't get along up until someone messes with one and the other discovers ferocious protective urges. Going too far during sparring practice/battle, and then having to make up for it. Helping each other improve on various fronts - court manners, different fighting styles, etc. The tension of being in a co-conspiracy with someone you're not truly sure you can trust. Learning to balance the things they have to do and their original loyalties with growing feelings for each other. Sending secret messages to each other. Going on a mission, just the two of them.
Scar & Scar's Brother - Scar's brother is a ghost (that he can interact with, not just invisibly following him around). Talking about their different philosophies while younger, before getting touched by the war. A scene from life in Ishbal - maybe with other family, or playing a game? And I'd love a stargazing scene, idk why.
Trisha/Van Hohenheim - a monster and an ordinary woman fall in love. And I want to know more! How they got to know each other, what drew them to each other, panic on either side about what the kid would turn out to be like the first time Trisha got pregnant, how the whole thing looked from an outside perspective, what Hohenheim told Trisha about his past. Art-specific, I'd love any domestic scenes, or them listening to music together (once again idk why).
Winry & Scar - superhero AU where they are fraught and highly reluctant allies. ... Anything where they are fraught and highly reluctant allies, come to that. Winry is commissioned to do up some automail for Scar, for political reasons. AU for that one canon confrontation - she shoots him, but it doesn't kill him (whether that's qualified by "at all" or "right away", non-canon death is fine for this prompt so long as they have a little more interaction right then).
Katekyo Hitman Reborn!

- AU it up if you want. But I'd prefer no Real Mafia AU, I like KHR to stick to its own thing where there's as much silly as serious.
Chrome & I-Pin - based on the manga. I friend-ship these two with wild abandon because I-Pin spoke her first words of Japanese to Chrome; she saw someone as shy as her and very much in need of company, and she made herself outright ridiculous to find a way to reach out to her. I died it was so cute. Prompts: Cultivating their friendship in all their glorious awkwardness, TYL badasses working together, 20YL I-Pin occasionally haunted by a beloved and very friendly ghost/lingering illusion, learning languages together, rescue mission, fantasy AU, anything with fairy tale elements, any depiction of them reaching out to each other across an open space.
Chrome/Lancia - I like this as a split between sweet and as a way to twist the knife of 'Mukuro and everything he represents'. So whether it's two people with a lot of isolation, trauma, and deep sadness coming together and making something good between them, or some temporary association that leaves both shaken and with shattered beliefs, A+. I'd be happy with anything ranging from utter domesticity with like grocery shopping or pizza dates, to mind control scenarios where Mukuro insists that Chrome taking Lancia over is the only way out of some problem, to both of them being in illusory(?) hell and everything being terrible. Art-specific: cuddles, feat. dat size difference. Or taking care of pets together, they strike me as pet people.
Chrome/M.M. - They run in the same circles and will probably do so for some time, and while MM's antagonistic, Chrome has a terribly high threshold for awfulness and when she adopts people, she tends to do it hard. Prompts: Post-apocalyptic biker girlfriends. Playing up the tension with Chrome's somewhat divided loyalties between the Vongola and Kokuyo gangs. Crime and/or shopping spree where they indulge in all sorts of riches. Fuck Or Die. Fluff where they learn to value each other over time. Hateshipping--well, hate from M.M.'s perspective, but maybe more "I'm turning on my implacable stoicism now" from Chrome. Name kink (would Chrome love or hate the occasional "Nagi"? How would it hit M.M. to be called by her [theoretical] full name?).
G/Giotto - Light-hearted shenanigans in Primo era (did some of those bananas Vongola traditions originate with the 1st gen?). Darker things with fighting/angst/comforting in Primo era. Time travel. Proper reincarnation instead of only having echoes in the 10th gen. Role-swap (with each other, so that G is boss and Giotto the right hand, or with other characters in the story). PWP. Backstory for G, especially if he comes from a different mafia family originally. Genderswap. Name kink. Tracing G's tattoo. For art especially: any AU - pirates! ninjas! dog walkers! dragons! etc.
Gokudera/Kyoko/Tsuna - triad or a V-arrangement are both good. Prompts: Any art with a ton of blushing, an exchange of gifts, or eating together. Courtship is significantly more complicated with two people to be wooed. 'Thank God we're alive' kissing or sex. Dancing (especially at a masquerade). Trying to get that third person in on the honeymoon without inviting commentary from a bunch of other people. Gokudera as the loyal bodyguard feeling himself getting too close to both his employers. Established Gokudera/Tsuna and Kyoko/Tsuna, but Kyoko and Gokudera now want to figure out how to interact with each other. Co-dependency.
Hibari/Kusakabe - that bit in the Millefiore arc where they go "Kyo-san" and "Tetsu" broke me, and then I really wanted to see Kusakabe being slightly broken by his respected and intimidating boss calling him by a cute lil nickname the first time. Other prompts: the different places Kusakabe has followed Hibari to. Having tea together. Giving Hibari a haircut (especially if Hibari hands over a knife or razor and commands a slightly panicked Kusakabe to hack it away). Surrounded by adorable animals. PWP.
Hibari/Ryohei - I especially like them TYL, but the sketch where Ryohei talks about 'raiding' Hibari's house a bunch of times makes something set when they're younger seem like it could also work. Prompts: Ryohei deciding to fixate on Hibari and start all the raiding and exhortations to join the boxing club. Fairy tale/mythology AU with a famous romance, and they smash conventions on their way to their own kind of happy ending. Going from being a trainwreck to working together increasingly well at meetings about the school clubs, and later in the Vongola/Foundation. Having drinks. Sharing a bed. On a mission together; everyone thinks it's going to be messy, it turns out fine (...mostly?). TYL timeline, Ryohei talking to Hibari about Hibari's part in Tsuna's time travel plan.
Lancia & Mukuro - anything about this translation of an official character overview, where he comes across as astonishingly OK with Mukuro by saying "I suppose I can forgive the past..." That first time Mukuro took him over. Werewolf AU. Reincarnation. Investigating/using Lancia's hell rings, and their dread negative side effects. Mukuro sometimes, deep inside, thinking of not using Lancia as a puppet, in those early days of their relationship when it was nice to be taken care of and almost trust someone. Yu-Gi-Oh fusion where they are in the roles of Rishid and Malik. Art-specific, I love the classic kind of Lancia & Mukuro art where the theme is basically blood, gallons of the stuff.
Haru/Kyoko - I have reached a point where I think of them as The Marrieds. These two mash my buddyshipping buttons SO HARD, and the sympathy and empathy they have with each other makes me want to see them as a solid, loving team. Prompts: proposal or wedding or slice-of-married-life fic. Haru getting Kyoko into a weird and ridiculous adventure and Kyoko participating delightedly. Dealing with Kyoko's trauma-induced mental block in the Millefiore arc. AU where TYL Hana doesn't rescue Kyoko and she gets captured by the Millefiore, and then Haru's reaction or Kyoko realising just how much she misses Haru. Leaving the Vongola behind (together, or maybe just one of them deciding to go). Werewolf AU.
Mukuro & Xanxus - they meet twice, Varia arc and Millefiore arc, and both times Mukuro does this I SEE YOU. I KNOW YOU. type thing. And Mukuro lent Fran to him after Mammon died, and Daemon Spade was tight with Secondo ... it feels like there's something simmering there. Probably Mukuro hating that he's a lot like Xanxus at base, and possibly just dying for an opportunity to mess him up. Maybe some past life tension, too. Prompts: One makes a move to take the other down for good. Mukuro playing private illusory scenes of some kind of hell tailor-made for Xanxus, and Xanxus refusing to let anyone know. Tsuna destroys (or fundamentally reshapes, somehow) the Vongola and they're both disconcerted, despite this supposedly being fairly up Mukuro's alley. Space AU where they put it around that they are fundamentally incompatible beings but are secretly from the same species.
Kyoko & Ryohei - Ryohei is one of the characters most set on keeping non-combatants in the dark about the mafia, as per his behaviour with Kyoko and TYL Hana. I'd really like to see the effect this has on his relationship with Kyoko, whether in the canon TYL timeline, where it looks like TYL Kyoko knew very little of what was going on, or in the main timeline where Kyoko did the strike in order to be let in on the secret. How do they manage their helpful and protective urges regarding each other? Does Kyoko ever cultivate some fighting power? (If she gets a flame going, I like her as mist, sun, or sky.) Otherwise, I'd love anything with them being cute, especially as little kids or TYL. Playing together, training together, Kyoko teaching Ryohei to cook. Or, angsty route, one desperately trying to heal the other/treat wounds after some serious injuries.
Tsuna & Xanxus - how could they work together? Xanxus erupts in scars and fire when people say Tsuna's name. I just want to see how this could go forward, since Xanxus actively wants to and is very satisfied with hating Tsuna, but also has deep loyalty and a permanent 'MINE MINE MINE' tantrum setting when it comes to the Vongola family. Prompts: how they and their relationship evolve over the years; a situation with Tsuna offering to give the Vongola to Xanxus; Tsuna does destroy the Vongola and there's Xanxus all 'now fucking what', out of a job; reincarnation where nuXanxus is Vongola Twentieth (because double X) and has chats with ghost Tsuna. Art-specific: Xanxus looming threateningly behind Tsuna, but probably mostly focused on intimidating whoever Tsuna is talking to. Sitting in wreckage together, one or both scuffed up from fighting.
Pirates of the Caribbean

- pref no AUs with alternate settings.
Gibbs & Jack - the expositioner and the living legend, a perfect match. Prompts: something melancholy about how you don't get stories like you used to when they were younger. Madcap capers. Outside view of an unlikely-looking friendship. Gibbs going from Navy man to pirate, often alongside Jack. Hurt/comfort. Hanging out with pigs at various different times (perhaps including an interlude with magic pigs, just because?).
Philip/Syrena - these two kind of feel to me like they crept in from a different story, idk if it's a trashy romance novel or a murdery fairy tale, because they're so intense and strange, absorbed in and instantly understanding of each other. I'd love something that plays up the ambiguity of their ending - maybe a few short depictions of different ways it could have gone, from happily ever after to Philip torn apart by the mermaids? Or anything that fleshes out their interaction during the movie and how they felt about each other, and especially that "She has a name! (I'm actually making this up)" stunt. Or, wacky headcanon time: when I watched the movie Philip struck me as so weird and intense that I decided he was inhuman too, and settled on his being a vampire who found faith with such strength that it burned the evil right out of him. Anything based on that would satisfy an urge.
Pride and Prejudice
- art, fic. For the romances, any art with kissing would be great, all the restraint in canon makes me want to see some smooching action. On the hands, lips, cheeks, shoulders if the action has got serious; it all works.
- AU it up if you want.
Elizabeth & Georgiana - Really I want to see how this friendship grew and they became sisters to each other. Georgiana needs it so much and it's just really sweet to imagine her going from being alarmed by the outspoken sides of Elizabeth, to eventually realising that she really likes watching it play out and thinking she can also be less shy and reticent. It would also be nice to see Elizabeth fill some of the gaps in her indifferent education alongside Georgiana, maybe some shared reading time in the library.
Bingley/Darcy - Times Darcy has unbent for Bingley's sake. A different take on that scene from the 2005 movie where Bingley practices his proposal using Darcy as a sounding board. Also I have a deep-seated desire for a Homestuck fusion where these two are moirails, what with the way their personalities lend each other some balance.
Elizabeth/Col. Fitzwilliam - They get married, Fitzwilliam is in love and Elizabeth is not quite there (yet?) but it is a very good marriage. Medieval AU where he is a knight and Elizabeth a lady and it's basically something from a tropey romance novel. Dealing with the impact military orders and the war have on them.
Elizabeth/Darcy - Set it anywhere along the timeline, all of it's great. Pining/dismissal, realising that the admiration is mutual, blissful marriage. I'd love something where one is thinking (daydreaming) about the other. Also, any art with Darcy smiling or laughing. Fic about Elizabeth getting used to running that massive estate would be good too, and anything where she settles into a feeling of having more freedom. Snarking together would be cute.
Elizabeth/Wickham - what could make Wickham a viable option? I want him to retain his manipulative scamster tendencies, and Elizabeth being clear on those, but he's still a good pick for her, for whatever reason. Maybe a post-apocalypse AU, or a crime AU. Mirrorverse P&P??
Elizabeth/Jane - Elizabeth just admires Jane's beauty and goodness so much! ...so I want to see a little more suspect admiration. Very, very repressed and/or one-sided works for me as well as anything mutual. Prompts: Playing piano together. Sharing a bed. Feeling acutely how much they understand each other and how little they really get most of the rest of the family. Wanting to hold hands but feeling like they must restrain themselves to hands brushing against each other.
Darcy/Col. Fitzwilliam - Darcy with people he can chill with makes me happy. They have very different sensibilities in how they present themselves, too, and I'd love to see more of their interplay with Darcy so stiff much of the time, and Fitzwilliam much more relaxed and welcoming. Their first meeting, or perhaps the first one where they clicked, would be nice to see. The first kiss too. Or perhaps a scene where Fitzwilliam's out of uniform and someone is confused about who the soldier is, both of them having such grand upright bearings.
Darcy/Wickham - saw this in the tagset and realised that I totally buy it. A wild fling when they were young that Darcy abhors more for letting Wickham get around his better judgement than anything else; alas, dick was too bomb. I'd like anything where Darcy's sense of disquiet around Wickham grows and grows but he still lets things carry on distinctly longer than he knows they should. Or some intimidating posturing that could turn into a fight or a kiss. Or uh, something where Darcy makes a tortured confession to Elizabeth about his long-ago indiscretions with Wickham and she ends up thinking "welp, that's hot" would be great.
Jane/Bingley - they're adorable. I'd love to see them post-marriage - I can't help but think that Mr Bennet had a bit of a point when he said they'd just be so mild and merry it would get them in trouble, but I'd love to see them deal with external troubles and come out on top. Or some private conversations between them, or a PWP romp, or how they learn to communicate better and read each other more accurately. Art-specific, I'd love them just grinning unrestrainedly at each other, dancing, or enjoying a meal together.
Star Trek: Alternate Original Series

Christine Chapel/Carol Marcus - One day I saw this pairing tag and that minute became completely hung up on the idea of the ship. I don't know, I think it's because Carol feels like a potential "+1 scenario where it went differently" to TOS and AOS canon's apparent positions of "X times Chapel's love life pretty much sucked", and buddyshipping dynamics are a favourite. Prompts: Carol-->Christine pining. How they got to know each other and grew close. Chapel offering comfort after everything Carol went through in STID, and still wants to do in order to help Starfleet get sorted out (and Chapel also helping to accomplish the latter). Kid fic where Chapel got pregnant when she slept with Jim, and then Carol ends up co-parenting. I read a fic, Arithmetics by CobaltKicks, where Carol didn't actually know Chapel and mentioned her as a tactic to get a feel for Jim Kirk's personality (since she was a stowaway and all), which could be interesting in a scenario where they meet and Carol gets to know the name she picked off a list.
Gaila/Jaylah - something where they are kind of cut from the same cloth, finding a connection from having different kinds of experiences to most Starfleet officers. Alternately, something where there's a stark difference, and while there is an attraction/connection they have to sort out that issue first. (Gaila hangs out with her brother in one of the tie-in comics, so maybe Jaylah is deeply envious due to having no close family left?) Sparring practise and fight makeouts/sex. Working in Engineering together, maybe struggling to find time to see each other if their shifts are out of sync. More on Jaylah's background in general. What Jaylah's speech is like when it's her own language through universal translator. Gaila talking to Jaylah about her past as a slave and her escape.
Sulu/Uhura - I feel like they're both going for an "understated, driven professional (and also a badass)" vibe, but they have their moments of failing and sometimes outright goofiness popping out. Would be nice to see both those sides: goofiness and humour maybe when they're at the academy and settling into themselves, maybe on a night of shore leave - or them being super pro on a mission or several and finding a new understanding of each other in how well they work together. Or, spy AU - any setting past or present, or they could both be part of the normal ST universe but as part of Section 31.
Kirk & Uhura

I enjoy both the antagonistic, pigtail-pulling early relationship, and the later growth of mutual respect and affection, and I really couldn't pick a favourite between the friendship or the romance. Prompts: more times Jim bugged her about her name, or just bugged her in general. Starting to genuinely like each other and seeing glimpses of each other beyond what they were used to. Hurt/comfort. The early days of working together as captain and chief communications officer. Doing a project together at the academy. Singing together. Uhura monitoring subspace communications in her off time like she did in ST2009, and Kirk caught between asking her if she's picked up more interesting stuff and discovering protective captainly urges where he wants to say she should leave it to other branches of Starfleet or something. Femdom (and some boot kink would be nice).
Jim & Winona - I'm so glad Beyond mentioned Winona, so it could stop feeling like she'd vanished from existence. And it even points towards a decent relationship between them! Prompts: introducing someone he knows to her (McCoy, Uhura, Gaila, Pike?), overcoming a strained relationship, their interaction when Jim was still young, that call he said he'd make to her on his birthday/anniversary of George's death in Beyond, one calling the other to reassure them that they're just fine after that last crisis ... oh oops you haven't heard about that crisis yet, haha nvm.
Jaylah/Scotty
Jaylah & Scotty
They adopted each other hardcore and it was precious. I love that Scotty could help give Jaylah the escape she'd wanted so much for so long, and that he wanted to help her with even more than that and give her company and hope, too. Prompts: Becoming a hotshot engineering team (bonus points for including Keenser). Their communications over Jaylah's time at the academy. Directly post-movie, confirming that they want to keep being friends. Trying to find Jaylah's remaining family/friends/society in the time between saving the space station and before Kirk's party. More on Jaylah's background in general. What Jaylah's speech is like when it's her own language through universal translator.
McCoy/Uhura - Uhura tries to be diplomatic with patients' families in the local language as McCoy is swearing up a storm in Standard. Drawing from TOS, they both take pride in their roots, which could be an interesting thing to explore - maybe homesickness brings them closer together, they go visiting each other's homes, etc. Academy-fic with them as the self-appointed sensible ones in any given gathering - although it would also be great to see them cut loose. (I'd prefer this without any Kirk/Spock, and not as PWP.)
McCoy/Spock/Uhura - McCoy struggling to deal with the urge to blurt out "SO ABOUT THAT TRACKING DEVICE..." Soppy romantic sex, whatever that looks like with these characters. A circle of snark, whether to each other or about some other situation/people/task. Dealing with pon farr. Taking care of each other in small ways. Opening up the idea of a triad relationship.
Spock & Spock Prime - games they played over subspace communications, chess or something. More reflections on Spock Prime's death. Spock Prime reflecting on this AU version of himself and where the changes might have come in. Spock doing his best to give some assistance on the work Spock Prime did, though he stays on the Enterprise. Either Spock talking to Sarek about the other Spock.
Kirk & Spock Prime - games they played over subspace communications, preferably not chess. Mourning (I was sad that Kirk mentioned Spock Prime dying in a fairly off-hand way!). Getting to know each other as distinct from the versions their more familiar with, and liking each other a lot. Kirk sifting through the memories he got from their mind meld. A relationship that's a mix of distance and professionalism, and then suddenly friendship and affection, and no one else looking in can figure out which it's going to be next.
Twilight Series

Quil/Embry - Problems with the wolf pack mind and keeping secrets. Enjoying the whole wolf experience; running together through the forest, fighting and winning together, or maybe some new, cool magic coming out of the whole situation. Just a cute BFF-ship happening - roughhousing turning hot, enjoying working together on cars and things way more than they would with someone else, etc. Not just a cute BFF-ship - distress about the possible half-brother thing, jealousy and insecurity from Embry that his father never wanted to form a relationship with him, worry about being attracted to a guy, fear for the other's safety during fights.
(The imprinting on Claire I can take or leave - it could add interesting fucked up-ness and angst, or get subverted, but it's also a kind of weird that I would be fine with pretending never happened so I wouldn't be thinking 'seriously, Meyer?' too often.)
There are some things I'd prefer avoided, though. Please do not include:
- in art: one person completely clothed while the other is completely naked. Characters looking at the fourth wall.
- in writing: A great deal of darkness throughout the story, though moments thereof is fine; darkness with humour is also good. Unhappy endings.
- overall: anything extremely violent, as it is actively occurring (aftermath is fine). Soul bonds, with things like sharing thoughts or pain, or sensing each other all the time. (A soulmate AU that has basically "we're meant for each other, this sign says so" is fine.) Fisting. Rape/noncon. Extremely underage sex - age 16 and up is fine. Steampunk. Non-canon death. Infidelity; for those ships where the characters are married or later get married, I'm fine with open relationships, amicable ends to the non-canon romance, or the marriage just not happening in the fanwork. Zombie apocalypse.

Ulquiorra/Orihime - Reincarnation. Spirited Away fusion. Anything with fairy tale/myth elements. Canon divergence where Ulquiorra lives. Xeno. Travelling to other realms. The wistful, never-possible nature of their relationship in canon was great but that means my fic desires are for, at least, moments where things between them are more concrete. Still doesn't need to be a conventionally happy ending but just a little more. Ulquiorra having the romantic feelings while Orihime is just about getting comfortable with him as an ally/friend is fine too.
Crossovers

- I'd prefer the type of crossover where both canon universes exist intact if they're very different, or co-exist if that is fairly easy to handwave, without changing canon backgrounds too much. Preferably no fusions of the kind where e.g. Kirk is a superhero in the MCU and has never been part of anything like the Star Trek canon.
Thor (Marvel) & James T. Kirk (Star Trek 2009) - I love that scenario where Thor is George Kirk, because of the Chris Hemsworth and general heroics connection. Preferably having had his memory screwed with, and only regaining knowledge of his life as Thor after he dies as George. Maybe he has to fight his way out of the Underworld before he can get back to his families? But whatever background there is to it, I'd love an estranged and very strange father-son connection to be explored. Maybe Jim inherited super powers, or maybe there's talk of needing a new Asgardian heir, or some assassination plot for the bastard child, or they just want to bond.
Leonard McCoy (Star Trek AOS)/Haymitch Abernathy (Hunger Games) - I just want them to be bitter and cutting and baseline good-hearted together. Prompts: Grumpy, drunken, awkward hurt/comfort. McCoy tries to help with the revolution. Haymitch somehow gets transported into the Star Trek universe and feels immense guilt for not somehow getting the people he knows there too, where it's so much more peaceful and hopeful. Maybe he tries to join Starfleet Academy but drops out? Field medicine with inadequate supplies.
James Norrington (Pirates of the Caribbean)/Elizabeth Bennet (Pride & Prejudice) - they could offer each other a lot; spirit and adventure as well as affection and support, enough respectability (depending on the timeline for Norrington) but enough freedom too. Preferably the relationship would not be based on the Kiera Knightley connection regarding P&P 2005. Prompts: Norrington is down on his luck and ends up in business with Wickham, but wants to put a stop to that, the more so as the Bennets get involved. Courtship, with tons of teasing. Norrington being the hot new thing in the area instead of Bingley, and the story unfolding differently from there (although some of that classic pining and repression would be great). Elizabeth (and all the other Bennets?) goes to the Caribbean for whatever reason, and Norrington finds himself attracted. Anything with supernatural elements they have to fight/appease/find, especially mermaids, or something else entirely that POTC canon hasn't got around to yet.
Haruno Sakura (Naruto)/Spike (BtVS) - saw this in the tag set and was like, haha what, that's weird but great, and then suddenly it felt like it made perfect sense. Possibly it's the nostalgia for both fandoms talking - but also Sakura can be into a bad boy, and Spike into an occasionally vicious heroic type who can toss him around... Prompts: Spike in the Narutoverse, going "what the hell" the whole time (but maybe also with some kind of abilities from the composition of the sunlight/a magic amulet/whatever, so he's not totally outclassed), and Sakura appreciating someone with a chiller perspective than a lot of people she knows. Overcoming a language barrier. Sakura the Vampire Slayer. Sakura the vampire, newly turned and meeting Spike or turned by Spike (and if this particular prompt involves any other non-canon character deaths, that's fine).
Chato Santana (Suicide Squad 2016)/Bobby Drake (Marvel 616) - Bonding about how their powers can be so destructive, and the guilt about the innocent lives they've taken. Chato gets fixated on the idea of Iceman as a fated opposite to his own powers (please not to the level of like, trapping Bobby somewhere with no escape, but if you want to go for creepiness of a lesser degree that is still good). The X-Men picking up on the disturbance of this rando entering the universe and helpfully trying to figure out a way to get him back, especially as he insists on wanting to go back to his family ... but somehow Bobby finds out how tenuous and desperate the definition of "family" is in this case and wants to offer an argument against it. Playing with their powers in cool ways. 616 gods getting antsy about whatever godly being Chato is/represents/has a part of, and Chato getting some superhero help to deal with it that includes Bobby.
Digimon Adventure 02

Cody & Joe - mentor-mentee between these old young souls, please, for any situation - an educational issue, how to help friends, romance, what to do in a battle situation. Ageswap with older Cody and younger Joe, or both of them being the same age and getting to know each other as kids. Anything with them hanging out with their digimon, or even other digimon. Worldbuilding as they navigate life as depicted in the epilogue - and I always wonder what being a lawyer would be like for Cody. That trope of a future version of a character experiencing the apocalypse and finding some way for their consciousness to travel back in time to try and prevent the bad outcome; and then whoever travels back confides in the other. Grim old Cody staring out of a baby face would be great. (Just a scene is ace, I'm not asking for an epic retelling of canon.)
Davis/Tai - Hero worship and dudely jock boyfriends. One-sided crushing is also good, but I would like at least a hint of something mutual in fic. Prompts: Space AU with hotshot pilots. Established relationship dating. PWP. One really missing the other during some kind of separation. Fighting together. Anything with them hanging out with their digimon, or even other digimon. Shipwise, Nanny seducing Granny in their youth that one time they never talk about would be so great. Or making offers over the years, even as they're all rebuffed. Art-specific, I'd love a scene of them relaxing together, especially Nanny laughing unrestrained and Granny smiling. Or Granny roped into getting an iconograph taken with Nanny for an author's picture for the cookbook.
Ridcully/Granny - any scene(s) from that alternate universe where they were married, as comes up in Lords and Ladies. Practicing each other's types of magic (maybe because of a challenge from each other or someone else?). Taking a more Equal Rites view of their relationship, and them staying in touch via letters while Ridcully keeps fighting off the image of Granny in red and black silk. Their interaction when young. Art-specific: anything that subverts a romantic trope - maybe even a typical romance novel pose starring other people entirely, as they look on with vague amusement and disapproval, leaning against each other slightly? It doesn't have to be that specific. Any depiction of the duel in Equal Rites.
Tiffany & Granny - Art featuring You would be much appreciated, or I would also eat up your classic mentor-mentee pose with Granny putting a hand on Tiffany's shoulder. Or giving Tiffany the hat full of sky. For fic especially: anything with Tiffany learning from Granny. Both of them challenging each other, even something like Tiffany doing her level best to keep up in a game of Cripple Mr Onion. Making a more familial bond (reference to Granny Aching would also be nice). Granny talking about Tiffany to someone else (recommending her as a student, perhaps). Inception AU.
Tonker/Lofty - most of all, I want them happy. Intense and codependent and slightly unhinged too, but happy. Prompts: What with the fire associations with Lofty, I'd love art with lots of red to it. Western AU where they're cowboys. Enjoying the fruits of a successful robbery. Moving away from the criminal lifestyle to something more settled. Meeting some of their fellow Cheesemongers again and helping them out somehow (I'm especially fond of Igorina and Mal). Holding hands in a desperate clutch. Travelling to somewhere else - do they find some patriotism or just revel in getting far away from Borogravia? Meeting some other Discworld characters (maybe even Death! But in which case, I'd like it to be a fakeout).
Tiffany/Annagramma - I'd love a Didn't Realise They Were Dating story; Tiffany probably would realise what with all those recursive thoughts she has, but Annagramma might take time to admit it to herself. AU where they go to know each other when they were younger, and navigating how they later manage Annagramma wanting to put on the act about her background. Looking back on how they were as kids when they're older - or even some more time travel where their older selves meet their younger selves. Doing magic together. Art-specific, I'd love something where it's them mutually looking snarky at each other, or perhaps Tiffany is reading and Annagramma has just come to the blushing realisation that she really enjoys Tiffany's company even in this boring way.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood & Manga

Al & Van Hohenheim - I just want to see anything where they have more of a connection. Prompts: Al reacting to the full family portrait photo taken when he was a baby, with Hohenheim weeping. Time travel and meeting young Hohenheim (and maybe Homunculus). Art-specific, I'd love to see them take a walk together (especially in Risembool), whether Al is in his own body or in the armour.
Ed/Ling Yao - Fusion with the Danger Days: True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys album. Travelling together for fun or profit, rather than trying to save their countries. Space AU. Ed is a homunculus along the lines of Greed's old crew. More from their days on the run together - can be hints of some romantic feelings, since Ed can be obtuse about that kind of thing and Ling is well aware it couldn't go anywhere much in the future. But I'm never going to say no to tent sex and ribbing from Darius and Heinkel. Arranged marriage, by whatever contrivance makes an iota of sense.
King Bradley/Mrs Bradley - I find this ship so strange and sweet and horrifying for what lurks under the surface. Prompts: AU where it comes out early that Bradley is Wrath. Why Wrath chose her (was that choice ever an issue with his "other family"?), how they met, what dating was like. What Mrs Bradley tells nuPride about his "father". Things that Mrs Bradley thought was normal in a man but are actually weird for a human being. For art I'd really like fluffy, unambiguous mutual affection. Having tea together, playing footsie under the table, anything.
Lan Fan & Ling
Lan Fan/Ling
How did that mutual loyalty grow and stay, especially when Ling makes choices that makes Lan Fan bug out so often, and generally comes across as far less traditional than she is? Prompts: different masks they've worn. How things change once Ling is emperor. Growing up together. Enjoying a meal. Learning how to use new weapons. PWP. Costume porn. One playing with the other's hair. Ling helping Lan Fan out with some automail maintenance. Fusions based on metal arms - Lan Fan is now in a Winter Soldier position and Ling is in a Steve or Natasha position, or perhaps she's like Shiro from Voltron: Legendary Defender and Ling is in a role like Allura's or Keith's.
May & Ling - The way Ling carts May off at the end makes me think that he's ready to start treating her as an ally and quite possibly a sister, and May takes to it easily enough that I like to believe she's at least open to negotiations. Really, I just want anything where they work their way through that; the baggage of the past, the needs of the future, and the effects of their time in Amestris providing some common ground. In art especially, I'd like something where they just manage to be happy together, or working together - some cloak-and-dagger teamwork would be ace.
May & Scar - I'd love them maintaining a connection, meeting unexpectedly in later years, or anything that gives just a bit more closure after how long they stayed together. Maybe they meet as Ishbal starts welcoming foreign investment or opening trade routes, maybe just more of a goodbye in the ending part of the manga. Art-specific, I'd be very happy with a scene from their time together in Amestris, maybe setting up a camp.
May/Lan Fan - With aged-up May, please. Prompts: they insist they don't get along up until someone messes with one and the other discovers ferocious protective urges. Going too far during sparring practice/battle, and then having to make up for it. Helping each other improve on various fronts - court manners, different fighting styles, etc. The tension of being in a co-conspiracy with someone you're not truly sure you can trust. Learning to balance the things they have to do and their original loyalties with growing feelings for each other. Sending secret messages to each other. Going on a mission, just the two of them.
Scar & Scar's Brother - Scar's brother is a ghost (that he can interact with, not just invisibly following him around). Talking about their different philosophies while younger, before getting touched by the war. A scene from life in Ishbal - maybe with other family, or playing a game? And I'd love a stargazing scene, idk why.
Trisha/Van Hohenheim - a monster and an ordinary woman fall in love. And I want to know more! How they got to know each other, what drew them to each other, panic on either side about what the kid would turn out to be like the first time Trisha got pregnant, how the whole thing looked from an outside perspective, what Hohenheim told Trisha about his past. Art-specific, I'd love any domestic scenes, or them listening to music together (once again idk why).
Winry & Scar - superhero AU where they are fraught and highly reluctant allies. ... Anything where they are fraught and highly reluctant allies, come to that. Winry is commissioned to do up some automail for Scar, for political reasons. AU for that one canon confrontation - she shoots him, but it doesn't kill him (whether that's qualified by "at all" or "right away", non-canon death is fine for this prompt so long as they have a little more interaction right then).
Katekyo Hitman Reborn!

Chrome & I-Pin - based on the manga. I friend-ship these two with wild abandon because I-Pin spoke her first words of Japanese to Chrome; she saw someone as shy as her and very much in need of company, and she made herself outright ridiculous to find a way to reach out to her. I died it was so cute. Prompts: Cultivating their friendship in all their glorious awkwardness, TYL badasses working together, 20YL I-Pin occasionally haunted by a beloved and very friendly ghost/lingering illusion, learning languages together, rescue mission, fantasy AU, anything with fairy tale elements, any depiction of them reaching out to each other across an open space.
Chrome/Lancia - I like this as a split between sweet and as a way to twist the knife of 'Mukuro and everything he represents'. So whether it's two people with a lot of isolation, trauma, and deep sadness coming together and making something good between them, or some temporary association that leaves both shaken and with shattered beliefs, A+. I'd be happy with anything ranging from utter domesticity with like grocery shopping or pizza dates, to mind control scenarios where Mukuro insists that Chrome taking Lancia over is the only way out of some problem, to both of them being in illusory(?) hell and everything being terrible. Art-specific: cuddles, feat. dat size difference. Or taking care of pets together, they strike me as pet people.
Chrome/M.M. - They run in the same circles and will probably do so for some time, and while MM's antagonistic, Chrome has a terribly high threshold for awfulness and when she adopts people, she tends to do it hard. Prompts: Post-apocalyptic biker girlfriends. Playing up the tension with Chrome's somewhat divided loyalties between the Vongola and Kokuyo gangs. Crime and/or shopping spree where they indulge in all sorts of riches. Fuck Or Die. Fluff where they learn to value each other over time. Hateshipping--well, hate from M.M.'s perspective, but maybe more "I'm turning on my implacable stoicism now" from Chrome. Name kink (would Chrome love or hate the occasional "Nagi"? How would it hit M.M. to be called by her [theoretical] full name?).
G/Giotto - Light-hearted shenanigans in Primo era (did some of those bananas Vongola traditions originate with the 1st gen?). Darker things with fighting/angst/comforting in Primo era. Time travel. Proper reincarnation instead of only having echoes in the 10th gen. Role-swap (with each other, so that G is boss and Giotto the right hand, or with other characters in the story). PWP. Backstory for G, especially if he comes from a different mafia family originally. Genderswap. Name kink. Tracing G's tattoo. For art especially: any AU - pirates! ninjas! dog walkers! dragons! etc.
Gokudera/Kyoko/Tsuna - triad or a V-arrangement are both good. Prompts: Any art with a ton of blushing, an exchange of gifts, or eating together. Courtship is significantly more complicated with two people to be wooed. 'Thank God we're alive' kissing or sex. Dancing (especially at a masquerade). Trying to get that third person in on the honeymoon without inviting commentary from a bunch of other people. Gokudera as the loyal bodyguard feeling himself getting too close to both his employers. Established Gokudera/Tsuna and Kyoko/Tsuna, but Kyoko and Gokudera now want to figure out how to interact with each other. Co-dependency.
Hibari/Kusakabe - that bit in the Millefiore arc where they go "Kyo-san" and "Tetsu" broke me, and then I really wanted to see Kusakabe being slightly broken by his respected and intimidating boss calling him by a cute lil nickname the first time. Other prompts: the different places Kusakabe has followed Hibari to. Having tea together. Giving Hibari a haircut (especially if Hibari hands over a knife or razor and commands a slightly panicked Kusakabe to hack it away). Surrounded by adorable animals. PWP.
Hibari/Ryohei - I especially like them TYL, but the sketch where Ryohei talks about 'raiding' Hibari's house a bunch of times makes something set when they're younger seem like it could also work. Prompts: Ryohei deciding to fixate on Hibari and start all the raiding and exhortations to join the boxing club. Fairy tale/mythology AU with a famous romance, and they smash conventions on their way to their own kind of happy ending. Going from being a trainwreck to working together increasingly well at meetings about the school clubs, and later in the Vongola/Foundation. Having drinks. Sharing a bed. On a mission together; everyone thinks it's going to be messy, it turns out fine (...mostly?). TYL timeline, Ryohei talking to Hibari about Hibari's part in Tsuna's time travel plan.
Lancia & Mukuro - anything about this translation of an official character overview, where he comes across as astonishingly OK with Mukuro by saying "I suppose I can forgive the past..." That first time Mukuro took him over. Werewolf AU. Reincarnation. Investigating/using Lancia's hell rings, and their dread negative side effects. Mukuro sometimes, deep inside, thinking of not using Lancia as a puppet, in those early days of their relationship when it was nice to be taken care of and almost trust someone. Yu-Gi-Oh fusion where they are in the roles of Rishid and Malik. Art-specific, I love the classic kind of Lancia & Mukuro art where the theme is basically blood, gallons of the stuff.
Haru/Kyoko - I have reached a point where I think of them as The Marrieds. These two mash my buddyshipping buttons SO HARD, and the sympathy and empathy they have with each other makes me want to see them as a solid, loving team. Prompts: proposal or wedding or slice-of-married-life fic. Haru getting Kyoko into a weird and ridiculous adventure and Kyoko participating delightedly. Dealing with Kyoko's trauma-induced mental block in the Millefiore arc. AU where TYL Hana doesn't rescue Kyoko and she gets captured by the Millefiore, and then Haru's reaction or Kyoko realising just how much she misses Haru. Leaving the Vongola behind (together, or maybe just one of them deciding to go). Werewolf AU.
Mukuro & Xanxus - they meet twice, Varia arc and Millefiore arc, and both times Mukuro does this I SEE YOU. I KNOW YOU. type thing. And Mukuro lent Fran to him after Mammon died, and Daemon Spade was tight with Secondo ... it feels like there's something simmering there. Probably Mukuro hating that he's a lot like Xanxus at base, and possibly just dying for an opportunity to mess him up. Maybe some past life tension, too. Prompts: One makes a move to take the other down for good. Mukuro playing private illusory scenes of some kind of hell tailor-made for Xanxus, and Xanxus refusing to let anyone know. Tsuna destroys (or fundamentally reshapes, somehow) the Vongola and they're both disconcerted, despite this supposedly being fairly up Mukuro's alley. Space AU where they put it around that they are fundamentally incompatible beings but are secretly from the same species.
Kyoko & Ryohei - Ryohei is one of the characters most set on keeping non-combatants in the dark about the mafia, as per his behaviour with Kyoko and TYL Hana. I'd really like to see the effect this has on his relationship with Kyoko, whether in the canon TYL timeline, where it looks like TYL Kyoko knew very little of what was going on, or in the main timeline where Kyoko did the strike in order to be let in on the secret. How do they manage their helpful and protective urges regarding each other? Does Kyoko ever cultivate some fighting power? (If she gets a flame going, I like her as mist, sun, or sky.) Otherwise, I'd love anything with them being cute, especially as little kids or TYL. Playing together, training together, Kyoko teaching Ryohei to cook. Or, angsty route, one desperately trying to heal the other/treat wounds after some serious injuries.
Tsuna & Xanxus - how could they work together? Xanxus erupts in scars and fire when people say Tsuna's name. I just want to see how this could go forward, since Xanxus actively wants to and is very satisfied with hating Tsuna, but also has deep loyalty and a permanent 'MINE MINE MINE' tantrum setting when it comes to the Vongola family. Prompts: how they and their relationship evolve over the years; a situation with Tsuna offering to give the Vongola to Xanxus; Tsuna does destroy the Vongola and there's Xanxus all 'now fucking what', out of a job; reincarnation where nuXanxus is Vongola Twentieth (because double X) and has chats with ghost Tsuna. Art-specific: Xanxus looming threateningly behind Tsuna, but probably mostly focused on intimidating whoever Tsuna is talking to. Sitting in wreckage together, one or both scuffed up from fighting.
Pirates of the Caribbean

Gibbs & Jack - the expositioner and the living legend, a perfect match. Prompts: something melancholy about how you don't get stories like you used to when they were younger. Madcap capers. Outside view of an unlikely-looking friendship. Gibbs going from Navy man to pirate, often alongside Jack. Hurt/comfort. Hanging out with pigs at various different times (perhaps including an interlude with magic pigs, just because?).
Philip/Syrena - these two kind of feel to me like they crept in from a different story, idk if it's a trashy romance novel or a murdery fairy tale, because they're so intense and strange, absorbed in and instantly understanding of each other. I'd love something that plays up the ambiguity of their ending - maybe a few short depictions of different ways it could have gone, from happily ever after to Philip torn apart by the mermaids? Or anything that fleshes out their interaction during the movie and how they felt about each other, and especially that "She has a name! (I'm actually making this up)" stunt. Or, wacky headcanon time: when I watched the movie Philip struck me as so weird and intense that I decided he was inhuman too, and settled on his being a vampire who found faith with such strength that it burned the evil right out of him. Anything based on that would satisfy an urge.
Pride and Prejudice
- art, fic. For the romances, any art with kissing would be great, all the restraint in canon makes me want to see some smooching action. On the hands, lips, cheeks, shoulders if the action has got serious; it all works.

Elizabeth & Georgiana - Really I want to see how this friendship grew and they became sisters to each other. Georgiana needs it so much and it's just really sweet to imagine her going from being alarmed by the outspoken sides of Elizabeth, to eventually realising that she really likes watching it play out and thinking she can also be less shy and reticent. It would also be nice to see Elizabeth fill some of the gaps in her indifferent education alongside Georgiana, maybe some shared reading time in the library.
Bingley/Darcy - Times Darcy has unbent for Bingley's sake. A different take on that scene from the 2005 movie where Bingley practices his proposal using Darcy as a sounding board. Also I have a deep-seated desire for a Homestuck fusion where these two are moirails, what with the way their personalities lend each other some balance.
Elizabeth/Col. Fitzwilliam - They get married, Fitzwilliam is in love and Elizabeth is not quite there (yet?) but it is a very good marriage. Medieval AU where he is a knight and Elizabeth a lady and it's basically something from a tropey romance novel. Dealing with the impact military orders and the war have on them.
Elizabeth/Darcy - Set it anywhere along the timeline, all of it's great. Pining/dismissal, realising that the admiration is mutual, blissful marriage. I'd love something where one is thinking (daydreaming) about the other. Also, any art with Darcy smiling or laughing. Fic about Elizabeth getting used to running that massive estate would be good too, and anything where she settles into a feeling of having more freedom. Snarking together would be cute.
Elizabeth/Wickham - what could make Wickham a viable option? I want him to retain his manipulative scamster tendencies, and Elizabeth being clear on those, but he's still a good pick for her, for whatever reason. Maybe a post-apocalypse AU, or a crime AU. Mirrorverse P&P??
Elizabeth/Jane - Elizabeth just admires Jane's beauty and goodness so much! ...so I want to see a little more suspect admiration. Very, very repressed and/or one-sided works for me as well as anything mutual. Prompts: Playing piano together. Sharing a bed. Feeling acutely how much they understand each other and how little they really get most of the rest of the family. Wanting to hold hands but feeling like they must restrain themselves to hands brushing against each other.
Darcy/Col. Fitzwilliam - Darcy with people he can chill with makes me happy. They have very different sensibilities in how they present themselves, too, and I'd love to see more of their interplay with Darcy so stiff much of the time, and Fitzwilliam much more relaxed and welcoming. Their first meeting, or perhaps the first one where they clicked, would be nice to see. The first kiss too. Or perhaps a scene where Fitzwilliam's out of uniform and someone is confused about who the soldier is, both of them having such grand upright bearings.
Darcy/Wickham - saw this in the tagset and realised that I totally buy it. A wild fling when they were young that Darcy abhors more for letting Wickham get around his better judgement than anything else; alas, dick was too bomb. I'd like anything where Darcy's sense of disquiet around Wickham grows and grows but he still lets things carry on distinctly longer than he knows they should. Or some intimidating posturing that could turn into a fight or a kiss. Or uh, something where Darcy makes a tortured confession to Elizabeth about his long-ago indiscretions with Wickham and she ends up thinking "welp, that's hot" would be great.
Jane/Bingley - they're adorable. I'd love to see them post-marriage - I can't help but think that Mr Bennet had a bit of a point when he said they'd just be so mild and merry it would get them in trouble, but I'd love to see them deal with external troubles and come out on top. Or some private conversations between them, or a PWP romp, or how they learn to communicate better and read each other more accurately. Art-specific, I'd love them just grinning unrestrainedly at each other, dancing, or enjoying a meal together.
Star Trek: Alternate Original Series

Christine Chapel/Carol Marcus - One day I saw this pairing tag and that minute became completely hung up on the idea of the ship. I don't know, I think it's because Carol feels like a potential "+1 scenario where it went differently" to TOS and AOS canon's apparent positions of "X times Chapel's love life pretty much sucked", and buddyshipping dynamics are a favourite. Prompts: Carol-->Christine pining. How they got to know each other and grew close. Chapel offering comfort after everything Carol went through in STID, and still wants to do in order to help Starfleet get sorted out (and Chapel also helping to accomplish the latter). Kid fic where Chapel got pregnant when she slept with Jim, and then Carol ends up co-parenting. I read a fic, Arithmetics by CobaltKicks, where Carol didn't actually know Chapel and mentioned her as a tactic to get a feel for Jim Kirk's personality (since she was a stowaway and all), which could be interesting in a scenario where they meet and Carol gets to know the name she picked off a list.
Gaila/Jaylah - something where they are kind of cut from the same cloth, finding a connection from having different kinds of experiences to most Starfleet officers. Alternately, something where there's a stark difference, and while there is an attraction/connection they have to sort out that issue first. (Gaila hangs out with her brother in one of the tie-in comics, so maybe Jaylah is deeply envious due to having no close family left?) Sparring practise and fight makeouts/sex. Working in Engineering together, maybe struggling to find time to see each other if their shifts are out of sync. More on Jaylah's background in general. What Jaylah's speech is like when it's her own language through universal translator. Gaila talking to Jaylah about her past as a slave and her escape.
Sulu/Uhura - I feel like they're both going for an "understated, driven professional (and also a badass)" vibe, but they have their moments of failing and sometimes outright goofiness popping out. Would be nice to see both those sides: goofiness and humour maybe when they're at the academy and settling into themselves, maybe on a night of shore leave - or them being super pro on a mission or several and finding a new understanding of each other in how well they work together. Or, spy AU - any setting past or present, or they could both be part of the normal ST universe but as part of Section 31.
Kirk & Uhura

I enjoy both the antagonistic, pigtail-pulling early relationship, and the later growth of mutual respect and affection, and I really couldn't pick a favourite between the friendship or the romance. Prompts: more times Jim bugged her about her name, or just bugged her in general. Starting to genuinely like each other and seeing glimpses of each other beyond what they were used to. Hurt/comfort. The early days of working together as captain and chief communications officer. Doing a project together at the academy. Singing together. Uhura monitoring subspace communications in her off time like she did in ST2009, and Kirk caught between asking her if she's picked up more interesting stuff and discovering protective captainly urges where he wants to say she should leave it to other branches of Starfleet or something. Femdom (and some boot kink would be nice).
Jim & Winona - I'm so glad Beyond mentioned Winona, so it could stop feeling like she'd vanished from existence. And it even points towards a decent relationship between them! Prompts: introducing someone he knows to her (McCoy, Uhura, Gaila, Pike?), overcoming a strained relationship, their interaction when Jim was still young, that call he said he'd make to her on his birthday/anniversary of George's death in Beyond, one calling the other to reassure them that they're just fine after that last crisis ... oh oops you haven't heard about that crisis yet, haha nvm.
Jaylah/Scotty

They adopted each other hardcore and it was precious. I love that Scotty could help give Jaylah the escape she'd wanted so much for so long, and that he wanted to help her with even more than that and give her company and hope, too. Prompts: Becoming a hotshot engineering team (bonus points for including Keenser). Their communications over Jaylah's time at the academy. Directly post-movie, confirming that they want to keep being friends. Trying to find Jaylah's remaining family/friends/society in the time between saving the space station and before Kirk's party. More on Jaylah's background in general. What Jaylah's speech is like when it's her own language through universal translator.
McCoy/Uhura - Uhura tries to be diplomatic with patients' families in the local language as McCoy is swearing up a storm in Standard. Drawing from TOS, they both take pride in their roots, which could be an interesting thing to explore - maybe homesickness brings them closer together, they go visiting each other's homes, etc. Academy-fic with them as the self-appointed sensible ones in any given gathering - although it would also be great to see them cut loose. (I'd prefer this without any Kirk/Spock, and not as PWP.)
McCoy/Spock/Uhura - McCoy struggling to deal with the urge to blurt out "SO ABOUT THAT TRACKING DEVICE..." Soppy romantic sex, whatever that looks like with these characters. A circle of snark, whether to each other or about some other situation/people/task. Dealing with pon farr. Taking care of each other in small ways. Opening up the idea of a triad relationship.
Spock & Spock Prime - games they played over subspace communications, chess or something. More reflections on Spock Prime's death. Spock Prime reflecting on this AU version of himself and where the changes might have come in. Spock doing his best to give some assistance on the work Spock Prime did, though he stays on the Enterprise. Either Spock talking to Sarek about the other Spock.
Kirk & Spock Prime - games they played over subspace communications, preferably not chess. Mourning (I was sad that Kirk mentioned Spock Prime dying in a fairly off-hand way!). Getting to know each other as distinct from the versions their more familiar with, and liking each other a lot. Kirk sifting through the memories he got from their mind meld. A relationship that's a mix of distance and professionalism, and then suddenly friendship and affection, and no one else looking in can figure out which it's going to be next.
Twilight Series

Quil/Embry - Problems with the wolf pack mind and keeping secrets. Enjoying the whole wolf experience; running together through the forest, fighting and winning together, or maybe some new, cool magic coming out of the whole situation. Just a cute BFF-ship happening - roughhousing turning hot, enjoying working together on cars and things way more than they would with someone else, etc. Not just a cute BFF-ship - distress about the possible half-brother thing, jealousy and insecurity from Embry that his father never wanted to form a relationship with him, worry about being attracted to a guy, fear for the other's safety during fights.
(The imprinting on Claire I can take or leave - it could add interesting fucked up-ness and angst, or get subverted, but it's also a kind of weird that I would be fine with pretending never happened so I wouldn't be thinking 'seriously, Meyer?' too often.)
