I've focused a lot on canon-related points of trauma here, but I've also got a lot of freeforms that could lead to entirely new and different traumatic adventures. So feel free to explore the canon-related trauma, or to pick up on canon points through an AU lens, or to focus on what would result from the freeform.

I signed up in a hurry so I didn't fill in the Additional Freeforms fields, but I did include other tags I'd enjoy under cuts.

Gokudera Hayato & Sawada Tsuna (Gokudera traumatised)
I love when Gokudera dishes out stories and evidence of all his traumas and Tsuna is screaming internally and doesn't know how to handle any of it, and Gokudera's reaction is either "laughing externally" or "violent aggression", and he also doesn't know how to handle any of it. It's hilarious and ripe for hurt/comfort, and maybe trying to start getting a grip on some of that mess. Whether it's his childhood in the castle, his time on the streets, food issues (and related sibling issues), maybe even monsters or supernatural menaces to tie in with his superstitous side. For art especially I like AUs where Tsuna and Gokudera are together when they're younger, no explanation needed, so kiddo versions of them interacting would also be great. I'd also be into TYLverse Gokudera & Tsuna dealing with the fallout of Tsuna's faked death - serious, comedic, angsty, I'm up for any tone. And I always love imagery involving Tsuna's coffin.
(Shippiness between them is also fine.)

Solo: Sasagawa Kyouko
There was that time in the Millefiore Arc where Kyoko was so traumatised by landing in the future and whether or not her family was alive that her memory blanked out, and I would love more about that tendency of hers. Does it ever happen again? What did recovery look like in the canon instance? Did she tell other people in the first place or did they notice something about her was off? I'd also be into it leading to her having mist or desert flames and creating illusions of something better or easier to think about. TYL Kyoko was also interesting because she was remarkably calm for someone being hunted down and then getting injured on top of it. What else did she go through in the preceding 9-and-a-bit years?

Cougar/Jensen (Cougar traumatised)
The way Cougar spat out "Chryon" when he realised their involvement was very intriguing. I feel like there could be solid backstory trauma with that kind of emotional reaction. How much would Jensen know about it, and from being told, or doing investigation? Killing Roque could also have left a mark - even with the betrayal, they'd all been together for so long being brothers in arms. I'd also be really interested in the lines between difficulties communicating trauma in a second language vs just not wanting to talk about anything much anymore. I like when this is part of why he and Jensen are tight - Jensen can carry a lot of conversation - so that would be a good angle, though equally I'd like an exploration of Jensen maybe not being able to do that kind of conversational heavy lifting for once. And traumatising mission stories with more ridiculous weapons like snukes (or, considering my werewolf tags, outright supernatural stuff) would be great.

Solo: Todoroki Natsuo
Poor guy helps save Touya from exploding and at the end of the fight still says that now the family's going to have to go through hell ... which I would like to see. Especially with the way that family members can be strongly tainted by association with criminals in Japan - e.g. being blacklisted at banks, cast out socially. I'd also into something exploring him having issues with physically resembling Enji, maybe being scared of acting like him too. And what was it like for him, dealing with his feelings about Touya - before or after Dabi's Dance? Also, this panel from chapter 302 makes me want an AU where he's the one to get his face burned by Rei instead of Shouto - what might change? Or how is his relationship with his mother in canonverse - in the years at her mental health facility or afterwards? I'd also be interested in the Himura side of the family causing trouble because that turned out to be a whole other mess. AU where they're more present, or try to arrange a marriage?

Best Jeanist & Hawks (both traumatised)
Canon doesn't truly want me to be interested in Hawks either guiltily stabbing Jeanist point blank or rapidly convincing him that it's for the good of the country that he get stabbed, and then Jeanist being put in suspended animation for months in a procedure first used for corpse monsters. But my god I want that weirdness dug into. And then they go on a trauma tour feat. Hawks's disappearing mother? Were they even friends before the possibly-literal and emotional guts-spilling? I could go either way - pulling on established threads of trust, or suddenly being in such a depth of shit together that you might as well be besties now.

Best Jeanist & Endeavor & Hawks (all traumatised)
Society's collapsing, cities are flattened, many are dead, one of you is immensely depressed about how his beloved son is his worst nightmare in a whole new way, two of you have plastic lungs, one of you has lost his superpowers. Does Jeanist even like the other two much or is he approaching this from the angle that he did with Bakugou's internship - "Villains and heroes are two sides of the same coin, so I have to at least try and help rehabilitate jackasses"? How the hell did they all get along in that car for weeks. I must know

Solo: Bubaigawara Jin
A sweet guy, wants friends and company more than anything, ready to support people and overjoyed to receive support ... also so desperate for connection that he turns to a kind of self-obsession in an ultimately destructive way, ready to really actively throw millions under the bus for the sake of his people. I really like how simultaneously aware and unaware he manages to be about his issues. And his thoughts on society, and how that also ties into this awareness-and-lack-of. I'd like anything that gets into his dichotomies! Including an AU where he lives. Also, I would be down for simply a scene lovingly, gorily, horror-set-to-max elaborating on the time his doubles turned on each other and he got terrified that he was also a double.
Possible relationships: & Giran, &/Toga, &/Hawks, & PLF (he's a leader but he doesn't actually know anything about the organisation! Could be good for dichotomies. And/or worldbuilding for how the PLF acts about quirk-related trauma.)

Solo: Kamui Woods
He's aged 29 "since he started counting" - awfully evocative! Even without mention of the dramatic documentary about his early life, I'd want to know more. (Info from his profile in a volume extra, here's an image crop of it.) Was he part of society at all? Did he get rejected for his mutation and then find his own way from very young? Maybe people thought he literally was a forest god and worshipped him? Is he a plant that developed a quirk??? But about that documentary, it would be interesting to see how that might impact his trauma - how much was he consulted, did the HPSC have input (and how authoritarian might they have got about it), did it help him process/hurt/both/neither?
Possible relationships: /Mount Lady, Edgeshot & Mount Lady, /Hawks, &/Endeavor (he had that one admiring moment in chapter 357...), & Nedzu (especially if Kamui DID used to be a plant)

Solo: Usagiyama Rumi | Mirko
Her creed is to live without regret, but how does she weigh those choices in the aftermath? Because post final battle, wow, could she also regret even choices that she still stands by. What other incidences in her life might have left her with regrets after all? There's also info that she's the only introduced hero to have no agency, just roving around Japan solo. What happens when she needs a network - is there a family involved, does someone else need to reach out to help her realise it's OK to need help, does following the path of least regret mean she's actually pretty proactive about trying to feel stable again?
Possible relationships: /Enji, &/Rei, & Bakugou & Best Jeanist, &/Toga (living freely just as you want and living without regret could be interesting philosophies to see come together, AU or canonverse somehow)

Solo: Takami Keigo | Hawks
It kills me that Horikoshi told the anime crew that they couldn't do a "happy memory" photo for Hawks's childhood. Nope, forced government training is the closest it gets. Delve into any miserable thing from Hawks's past and I'll be happy. Family issues of all kinds, being a tool, hurting others, poverty issues, being controlled, his own complicity within the autonomy he can exercise, pushing himself physically, isolation, the whole thing of not having a non-professional name... (Slight caveat: I do think he might have killed for the HPSC before Twice, but I also think that after Lady Nagant shot her HPSC prez, the programme got a lot lighter on the child assassin angle. Self-preservation, if nothing else.) And/or about how much he compartmentalises in present, because wow is he not thinking about some things. And/or people around him realising that he really might need to talk about some of this stuff.

Midoriya Izuku/Shigaraki Tomura (both traumatised)

The accidental AFO-OFA bond and "I'm your villain!" line drive me bananas. They have these opposite desires to be toxic vs redemptive but it meets in the middle via INSISTING they must have an effect on each other, they must be connected as symbols ... so how do they interact when they get to know each other? I'd love of them seeing each other more as real people, really dealing with issues. Difficulties for Deku reaching out when Shigaraki caused him and also a lot of Japan so much trouble. Deku getting outraged when learning about things AFO did to Shigaraki would also be great. I'd love to see what atonement might look like for Shigaraki - how much would he want to do, how much can he let go of his destructive anger after all? Also, identity porn where they bond without full knowledge of who the other is (or one knows, the other doesn't) would be super.

Solo: Todoroki Fuyumi
I would like to go into the practical part of how on earth she managed to keep it together after losing her mother and brother and getting household duties dumped on her. Also good is anything related to her being desperate to keep the family together - she broke my heart in the Touya fight with how much she just doesn't want to lose anyone again. How good is her relationship with her dad really, and how much work did it take for her to keep reaching out despite negative feelings? How good is her relationship with Rei, and what did it take to work through her mother harming Shouto? What were things like after she started living with her mother and Natsuo? I'd also be interested in the Himura side of the family causing trouble because that turned out to be a whole other mess. AU where they're more present, or try to arrange a marriage?

Iida Tenya/Todoroki Shouto (both traumatized)
Their teamwork in their shared final war chapters made me want so much of them recovering together, too. Iida wants to be there for everyone so much! Shouto wants to figure out how to reach out to people so much! They both got so wrecked! I'd love them trying to help each other, or bonding over similarities in their struggles, or dealing with how public some of this stuff is (Dabi, Endeavor). Or, there's Iida going off half-cocked to kill Stain. What kind of mark did that leave, or what about the AU where it went worse somehow? And I'd love something from the popularity poll fantasy AU. Knight & cursed prince has potential.

Solo: Toga Himiko
The imagery with masks in her final battle fight intrigued me. She does want to be "normal", but she also doesn't want to hide who she is just to fit. What parts of her mask felt natural, what does she keep hiding even after she thought she was over masking as a way to live? I'm also haunted by the idea that her vision of an ideal life, one where she's accepted, would be tough to realise even after she's figured out what she can give back to the world. If she manages to get acceptance with some while still being rejected by others for being too creepy and gross, what happens to the kind of destructive response that drove her to join the League? If she underwent official rehabilitation, what would work for her and what would feel like the old quirk councelling?

Solo: Folykl Darane
Living on the edge of death all the time is already a big point of trauma! I'm also interested in how it affects Folykl to be dangerous by default - sure sometimes she has an energy-vampire threesome for petty reasons, but trolls do still get negatively affected by having to enact violence too. And voidrot could be an extra weird disease - does she ever get horrorterrors or something else reaching to her from the void (whether that means from her eyes or a different manifestation of it)? Has she ever encountered what voidrot does to someone else?

Aimless Renegade/Peregrine Mendicant/Wayward Vagabond (all traumatised)
They've been through war, through the apocalypse, they have the burden of carrying the hope of a future society... I'd love more of how their connections start warily because of all they've been through but something sweet starts. Maybe flashbacks to what it was like when they were on the Battlefield, or just generally how they're affected by once having been opposed as a basic fact about their societies? Maybe them sharing what little they have in the great empty desert. (I'm also happy for Wandering Questant to get added in on the polycule.) It would also be great to have PM and WV meet an AR from a different session and be messed up about it.

Tyzias Entykk & Friendsim Player Character & Tagora Gorjek (Tyzias traumatised)
I'm here for the danger Tyzias is putting herself into catching up with her, or simply for her being too tired for once to keep going. And also very much here for the Friendsim PC to go all-in on trying to do something for her, over the top FRIENDSHIP style, while Tagora is probably trying to hold himself back from showing actual care but ends up clearly caring very much. Maybe he kicks dangerous documents underneath the recuperacoon when someone come snooping, or something small-yet-vital like that. What if he even ... gasp ... gives her some coffee?

Mallek Adalov/Diemen Xicali (Diemen traumatised)
Pale or redrom, please! I headcanon that Diemen has had survival sex and/or done sex work and is not all that OK with it, so I'd like anything that explores how that could impact him in a relationship. If he would even get into a relationship at all - I'm fine with this not having the ship get together as long as there are feelings in the air. And also, just in general, the bush nomad lifestyle is a tough one. Sometimes I just want Diemen to have fresh food and a safe nap. What would it take for Diemen to agree to some help, and from Mallek in particular, who doesn't always seem to know when he's being shady? I love Mallek's weird approach to problem-solving and helping that sometimes only has slight relation to actual reality, but that is sincere despite all shadiness.

Jake English/Tavros Nitram (both traumatised)
Pale or redrom, please! This can also be with GCatavrosprite. They have been traumatised as hell and I'd just love anything with them being able to chill with each other. They also like to look on the bright side - but what happens when that coping mechanism fails one or both? Or maybe it works TOO well with Hope powers, and then that's a whole new issue? I also like the themes of self-image not living up to what they actually want - maybe this can be explored with an adventure that goes wrong, or one of them helps the other see it's OK to just sort of slip out of that mindset and try something else. I also like when either of them has hang-ups about sex and attraction (especially Jake, after the TiaraTier Jane threats), so how would that be worked with in a relationship?

Aradia Megido/Vriska Serket (both traumatised)
Caliginous, please! Including ashen (middle leaf up to you). I love them being entangled even after the revenge cycle, even after [S] Make her pay. They caused some of each other's trauma, how do they deal with it? Learning to draw lines so they don't go too far in a stable blackrom, or making up for it when they do. What disasters follow when their relationship is unstable and they don't stop from going too far, but still can't leave each other be? I also love things playing on how they're the only god tier beta trolls - being able to get really wild with each other, or as the only gods in the pantheon and the epic, mythic events around that.

Solo: Auto-responder
I love every single thing about the angst of suddenly waking up and not being human anymore, disconnected from physical experience, emotional experiences invalidated all over the place, still dealing with your human trauma of isolation etc., sometimes trying to help and harm the ones you love simultaneously, the precarity of existing in sunglasses... Any of Hal dealing with that is great. I'd also be really into the bizarre experience of being part of Lord English, or fallout from LE being split apart and what might happen to Hal then.

Tagora Gorjek/Galekh Xigisi (Galekh traumatised)
Kismeses, please. I like to think that Tagora would end up more adept at navigating Alternian society as time goes by, while Galekh finds himself surprisingly distressed/outclassed when he just doesn't want to be as much of an asshole as many other highbloods, and he's not socially adept enough to wrangle situations to his favour. And then I would love Tagora schmoozing on his behalf, or helping Galekh get back on his feet enough that they could work together to accomplish something (revenge, a better standing for Galekh, escape), straight-up having to figure out how to rescue him, or some other kind of assistance that works for blackrom. On a more general note, I love snazzy suits on these two - or perhaps in this case, Galekh being a mess while Tagora's perfectly put together.

Solo: Gamzee Makara
Excellent for mind-control/possession trauma, between Lil Cal, Aranea, and whatever was up within the Lord English amalgamation. I also have a love for slice of life of his pre-Game life, where he's valiantly dodging misery via drugs, religion, bugging his friends, suppressing rage. And also has sea dwellers to deal with that are "quite hostile" but he keeps going out to sit on the beach anyway; sounds like a good whump/cathartic violence opportunity! Wacky body horror with Gamzee is also great, canon based or otherwise, please have me looking at it through my fingers. There's so much to do with their secret fight to save the planet. Did they come by the terrible knowledge separately or together? How did they learn to trust each other with it? Did they ever discuss the effects of their own trauma on art that was meant to be conveying mostly messages about alien invasion? I'd also love anything about the knowledge that they have to prepare living space for their future daughter-mother and bro-father-son (via Rose's visions or other sources of knowledge?) - responsible for some babies they'll never get to meet but have to keep alive. Extant family trauma from their backstory would work with this but the basic situation is also impossible and disturbing enough.
PS: I don't care that they're ecto-twins, so I'd prefer that not to be lingered on. Have them know about it or not, it's not a feature or a bug for me.

Solo: Bro Strider
Huge fan of Lil Cal quietly messing with Bro's brain since day 1 and resulting in him having the very least idea of what's appropriate. Massive. You have no idea. Bro=puppet parallels are so good. How he lived after his own meteor crash landing would also be interesting. Was he solo, did Grandpa Harley step in like he did with Mom, did the government step in? I like it when the Homestuck version of Earth is bonkers - go wild with the video game elements like echeladders and sylladices, and things like Braj Stops and Dadly Depots (as per that one Paradox Space comic), placronyms. But I also like more grounded elements - homophobia in the 1980s while he was growing up, maybe he was involved in the bad side of the porn business?

Maybe she's young enough that she doesn't really think about the concepts of honour and respect, she's just like, this is my big brother and my family so he's one of mine - but when she's older it changes. Does she ever realise that this new distance is somehow creeping in and wants to/tries to change it? How would it be reflected in her drawings?

Hari Kang & Kwangcheol (Hari traumatised)
I love how whole-heartedly Hari takes the solace of knowing about her bad karma. No room for resentment, she's just relieved! It's not insignificantly messed up but seriously, perfect to me. I'd love some of Kwangcheol feeling guilt as he observes her reactions to "friendship" - I think he'd get to the point of wanting to do more to make up for it, but how long would it take, what would it be? Or something getting in the way of him going to one of those birthday celebrations he promised to be at. Or Hari's feelings about suddenly being unburdened of this worry about herself, differences she experiences in herself.

Sunju Jeong/Yeongno (both traumatised)
I don't care if this is requited or stays one-sided on Yeongno's part, I just love the tension of Yeongo's extreme regret about what he's inflicted on Sun vs Sun's pain about having been betrayed, her good deeds coming to nothing and oh yeah, her grandmother dying as part of this curse! I'd also be into an AU where things go differently so at least some happy ending is plausible. But. Just the pain is also good. Identity porn elements here are also great - something before Sun is aware of the truth but Yeongno's guilt is growing on both the levels of the karmic curse and the "actually I am not a girl".

I'm thinking 2014!Gamora here. For "Stakar Ogord" you can read "any of the original Ravager Captains" (that hug Krugarr gave her! adorable), it just seemed like a bit much to have a tag saying she had to interact with all of them. I'd be interested in Gamora still having to deal with fallout from being a Child of Thanos - it could be random people still hating her, it could be an outsize political influence that the Ravagers react to. And with her Guardian of the Galaxy reputation that doesn't really belong to her either! Maybe the Ravagers have seen enough weird stuff out there that they're more willing to accept her as a person with a different past, or it's part of the Ravager code to roll with whatever people state their past is? I'd love a look at the first time they connected personally, or the first time they trusted each other, or the first time Stakar helped her - anything along those lines.

Yondu Udonta & Stakar Ogord (Yondu traumatised)
For "Stakar Ogord" you can read "any of the other original Ravager Captains", it just seemed like a bit much to have a tag saying he had to interact with all of them. Also the line "You broke all our hearts" in the Stakar-Yondu conversation was such a good one, there are a lot of feelings there. I bet Yondu kept mementos of anything Stakar gave him, or from the other original Ravagers too. And Yondu being saved from slavery in the first place and then rising through the Ravager ranks - how difficult was any part of that? How did he deal with still needing to fight after having been a battle slave? Or with little everyday things, whether new and unfamiliar or reminiscent of his past. How did it feel to have these random space pirates invested in him? How did he and Stakar get to know each other, and how did Stakar try to help - at the initial freeing, or later on?

Peter Quill & Rocket Raccoon & Yondu Udonta (traumatized Yondu)
I like the idea of Rocket and Peter being united & at odds because they're both invested in Yondu. To Peter it's a whole new thing that Rocket is involved, Rocket's probably really prickly at feeling this connection, and meanwhile Yondu's over there going I'm dying. Another fun angle would be that maybe Peter is keeping a grip on things emotionally, or at least trying more, and the other two are clammed up and barely dealing with Yondu's trauma. I would be down for a Yondu lives AU, or a time-travel thing where Rocket and Peter meet younger Yondu, or Vol 2 plot going a different way so these three interact together.

Peter Quill/Rocket Raccoon (traumatized Rocket)
For this I would love PINING from Rocket - I just think he develops a massive crush at some point after GOTG 1 and it would add great spice to any trauma issues. I'd prefer not to have size difference kink, it's just not part of the appeal for me here. Anything where they open up to each other would be great, especially with Rocket being terrible at it (and Peter's had a lot of time circumventing his big issues, too). Body issues and terrible self-esteem welcome. And also epic hugs. I also really like how much Rocket learned to love Peter's music.

Rocket Raccoon/Yondu Udonta (traumatized Yondu)
A terrible and yet great hurt/comfort duo! ♥ I'd love Rocket being able to help with something physically pretty well, able to offer some medical and/or mechanical help, even if not being so great at the heart-to-heart part of things. Or maybe there comes a day when Rocket can call Yondu to account similarly to how Yondu did to him, for not properly dealing with the effects of trauma. Do they ever compare their horrible childhoods, or trading stories about scars? Could be a hell of a drinking game. An AU where they meet differently could also be interesting - bounty-hunting Rocket & Groot trying to take on a Ravager captain, Rocket falls in love instead? High Evolutionary gets some exiled Ravagers to get his experiment back, Yondu falls in love instead? I'd prefer not to have size difference kink, it's just not part of the appeal for me here.

Groot & any (Groot traumatised)
I was intrigued by Vol 3 Groot reacting with less distress than I thought he would to Rocket's abduction. It got me thinking that wow, he's really grown up with A Lot, and so on top of what seems like a general flora colossus kind of chill, he's not quick to get traumatised. But what would happen if things get too much for him? Maybe his ability to do strange and surprising things takes a knock after some trauma - flowers withering, leaves falling, that kind of thing. Would the others know how to recognise the signs? Does he ever have issues about living up to Original Groot? Social problems from being without any other members of his species? I'd also love more about him and 2014!Gamora. He was respectful of her not being the person he knew, but augh, it clearly meant a lot to him to see a Gamora again. What was mourning like for him?

Meredith Quill & Peter Quill (Meredith traumatised)
I would be into mundane trauma as well as AU space opera action/adventure trauma. Smalltown girl pregnant by some drifter at a young age, and Peter said that his grandfather was a "hard man", and Meredith refuse to shut up about how that drifter was an amazing space alien? There's room aplenty for the trauma. How does she try and shield Peter from it, whether her own or what the people around them might inflict on him? Then there's the alien flower out in the woods whereby your outer space boyfriend might be exerting influence over you in order to kill you, possibly also to keep you thinking he's an amazing angel of pure light? Also fascinating to deal with! I'm up for AUs where Meredith lives and also gets kidnapped along with Peter, or where she's resurrected (whether on Earth or in space). I think she'd do great with space adventures, even when they go bad. Or AUs where she lives somehow but now Peter's been kidnapped by aliens!
I'm always up for reading deep into the Awesome Mixtapes and assigning messages from Meredith to Peter that way, and that could be part of exploring trauma. Special mention to "My Sweet Lord" by George Harrison (which I interpret as a "my little Star-Lord" ref and basically an ode to how she wishes she wasn't dying and leaving him behind. I really want to see you / I really want to be with you...) and, of course, "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" by Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell as a promise that she is always with him in spirit.

Gamora & Nebula (both traumatized)
That bit in Vol 2 where Nebula listed the parts of her body that had to be replaced after she lost bouts with Gamora, and it included her brain - I went bonkers, more please. Whether of that fight or others, or the aftermath and how they approached each other... Nebula still hated Gamora least! HOW. I'd really love it if Gamora took a very shut-it-down approach to her trauma and Nebula actually ended up dealing with things a little faster, though with all those murderous rage stages. And what was it like, working on missions together well into adulthood (with Ronan or otherwise)? Did they have different stages of tolerance for each other over the years or was it always just difficult? I'd also love anything about how 2014!Gamora and Nebula reconnected. What does Gamora think about this very changed yet still familiar Nebula?

It would just be nice if Jeong Jeong started learning to not fundamentally despise part of himself! Seeing the better side of firebending - plus proof that at least one of the Fire Nation's sins, destroying the dragons, was not complete - could help. I am down for monsterfucking or monsterloving or some semi-divine thing that is neither or both.

What was it that made these three stick with each other after the rest of the Freedom Fighters split up? Jet couldn't entirely leave behind that mindset that made him fight hard - how successful were the other two at it, and what kinds of shadows did their trauma still cast on them even if they were better at letting go? I'm cool with them reacting to Jet's death, as well as with Jet not dying. It would be interesting to see how Longshot and Smellerbee joined with the Freedom Fighters in the first place, or how they bonded in their early days together.

Gaila's bubbly attitude could make for an interesting contrast with past trauma. A visual depiction of that would be great - maybe Starfleet Academy as her aim in a dark present (and a shade of Nyota though she doesn't know her yet), or a dark shadow while she's at the Academy? Reveals of pain in the past could be a huge surprise/game changer to Uhura as they get to know each other. Or after they've got to know each other, and Gaila's handling of some awful event surprises her. If you take the tack that Gaila didn't die, I don't mind where she is after the events of ST2009 - still on Earth, on a different ship, on the Enterprise, etc. The position of Orions is also a possibility for sources of trauma - I love when fanworks about Gaila make use of the backstory mentioned in interviews, where she escaped from slavery.

For Uhura I'd prefer not to focus on trauma in her backstory, unless it's a canon divergence, a setting change AU or mirrorverse. Trauma based on canon or at the academy or new missions or weird deep-space events, though, :D. I love seeing her determined to stay ahead, stay in control, do whatever she can ... but she can have little a breakdown or/and hurt/comfort, as a treat. Are she and Gaila close enough that she can show vulnerability and pain, or would they still be working up to it?

Friction in how they process trauma and/or need help with it would be interesting, with the xeno (physical and social) differences.

PS: Please ignore the deleted scenes info with Gaila, as I've never watched them. I'm also fine with non-monogamy here (especially if it's part of Orion culture, and including Spock/Uhura), so long as it's in the background and Gaila and Uhura are both cool with it.

Was Atem more like his Memory World self, or his early-YGO self, or something more fractured the same way that the puzzle was in pieces? I'd also be into Suguroku trying to help Atem while Atem's living in his grandson's soul. Did that ever get weird or was it basically old hat after everything Sugoroku had experienced?

Solo: Mana
OK so at the end of the Memory World arc, Mana inherits the Ring and things look glorious back in Ancient Egypt. (See: image from chapter 336.) But we know that the Ring comes with a huge caveat, and also, in the present Mana's in a card monster realm same as Mahaad after he got killed. I would like to know about any of the horrible things that went wrong in between! It would also be interesting to see life in card monster land/the Shadow Realm/whatever we're calling it. Monsters fighting each other? Other demons/dark spirits/gods hanging about? Feeling your humanity change unstoppably? (Black Magician Girl's a really human monster but feel free to amp up the magic weirdness to make up for it or get xeno anyway.)

Solo: Kisara
Make up anything about her backstory pre-canon, I just love the juxtaposition of her vulnerability and invincibility. Does she look so different because she's not from Egypt, or does it have to do with magic? Did she ever have proper relationships in early life or was she always an outcast? It would also be interesting to see life in card monster land/the Shadow Realm/whatever we're calling it. Monsters fighting each other? Other demons/dark spirits/gods? Feeling your humanity change unstoppably? Especially since Kisara's opinion of the dragon in her soul was a bad one. I'd also be interested in a reincarnated Kisara who has gets bizarre lingering trauma from 4000 years ago. She looks normal for the modern day but sometimes still thinks people are going to shun her appearance? Many, many violent dreams?

Malik Ishtar/Rishid Ishtar (Rishid traumatised)
Honestly I'm here for both being traumatised, especially since Dark Malik is like their weird shared trauma ghost personality, I'd just like focus on Rishid. Could be all the familial trauma from childhood, coming to terms with what he helps Malik to do with the Rare Hunters, trying to recover a normal life... Does Dark Malik ever show again? Are there other magic artifacts that might cause trouble? Maybe helping other underground Ishtars reintegrate into society brings up a lot of old bad feelings?
PS: I don't need them to end up romantically together - if they decide they feel more brotherly in the end that's fine. I just want them to be happy in whatever their relationship is, and for Ishizu to be happy with them too.

Atem/Thief King Bakura (Thief King traumatized)
I'd love anything where they're kinda-sorta on the same side. Atem realising the extent of what was done to Bakura's people and tempering his grief about what was done to his father's mummy in order to try for justice, Bakura realising that darkness has infiltrated his soul and maybe causing the apocalypse isn't a stellar idea even if he still wants revenge ... and then bonding. I'd love this whether it's set in Ancient Egypt and they're basically humans, or if it's the Memory World RPG and it's got ghost/game construct weirdness. The understanding/truce can also be temporary. Established relationship with that concept in the background, and them dealing with something else traumatic together, is also great. Or AU where they meet in an entirely different and less antagonistic way, but Bakura's backstory is still pretty much the same.

Solo: Thief King Bakura
I love anything about him being raised by the vengeful ghosts of probably everyone he's ever known. Scar origin story would be great. Does anyone else acknowledge him as Thief King or is that purely his own hype? Either way I think he'd be good at the stealing, but would enjoy the painful process about how he got there. What was it like having Zork influence him?
