This pic of the Yu-Gi-Oh! gang during the Tabletop RPG arc stunned me because 1) how could I forget fairy Honda! and 2) I suddenly realised that there is such a precedent for me liking Gamzee best in Homestuck. Basically Gamzee Makara = Ryou Bakura.

The thing is this:
Seriously, minor character, am I really going to have to make up half your personality when you have a major role in this enormous mess? What is with that smile! Oh boy, how enormous are your daddy/abandonment issues. Are you seriously the you that is doing this, or...? WHY IS THIS HAPPENING? Is listening to the terrible demoniac figure in the background with the object-as-eyeball(s) really a grand plan? Could you actually appear on-screen again, please?

The answers are the same for both of them!


I forgot how great Bakura is. You hardly ever knew what was up with that kid. /...digs up YGO manga

Tyger, save me from myself. I want to write a crossover! It would be all about the Homestuck kids travelling the multiverse to destroy all instances of Lord English, who in the case of YGO is Akunadin/Zork, but it would actually be about Bakurae and Gamzee hanging out in the background and secretly running things. In the distance, buildings collapse. Magical artefacts drop (un)helpfully out of the sky onto people's heads. The heads might in fact have been removed from their bodies. Bakura and Gamzee maybe make out a little, and then I get kicked out of fandom.
